Indications/Uses
FC tab: Relief of symptoms associated w/ seasonal & perennial allergic rhinitis. Syr: Add-on therapy in adults & adolescents ≥15 yr w/ mild to moderate persistent asthma. Prophylaxis of asthma in which the predominant component is exercise-induced bronchoconstriction. Relief of nasal & ocular symptoms of seasonal & perennial allergic rhinitis. Relief of symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria.
FC tabAdult, childn & adolescent >15 yr 1 tab once daily. Adult & childn ≥12 yr w/ mild renal impairment (CrCl 50-80 mL/min) 1 tab containing montelukast 10 mg + levocetirizine 2.5 mg once daily, moderate (CrCl 30-50 mL/min) 1 tab containing montelukast 10 mg + levocetirizine 2.5 mg every other day. SyrChildn ≥12 10 mL once daily, 6-11 yr 5 mL once daily, 2-5 yr 2.5 mL once daily.
Hypersensitivity to montelukast, levocetirizine, hydroxyzine, or to any piperazine derivatives. Patients w/ severe renal (CrCl <10 mL/min) or hepatic impairment. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn 6-11 yr w/ renal impairment.
Levocetirizine: Concomitant use w/ alcohol or other CNS depressants. May impair the ability to drive or operate machinery. Not recommended to infants & toddlers <2 yr.
R03DC53 - montelukast, combinations ; Belongs to the class of leukotriene receptor antagonists. Used in the systemic treatment of obstructive airway diseases.
